A former NYPD detective, Tony Scali (Michael Chiklis) is The Commish, a suburban police commissioner in the small upstate New York town of Eastbridge. With plots focusing as much on Scali's home life with his wife and children as with police work, the small-town cop boss relies heavily on humor and wit to solve conflicts ranging from the domestic to the criminal.
